Hi Cornelius
First of all, thank you so much for selecting my blog for the pmpodcast. It’s a great pleasure to get to know people around the world who have same interests to share knowledge. I like the way you pronounce my name It made me smile.... But unfortunately or fortunately Im not “He” ( I think my blog doesn’t have a good personal profile.. So Its ok …)
Today I listened to pmpodcast for the first time. (Actually I tried listening to it while I was at work, But I didn’t find time. so I Just downloaded it to my notebook and listened to it while driving home ...Thanks to you.,. it really helps....)
Ok just my thoughts about the #21 program…
Its really Interesting and useful, Through your program, I got to know about Jerry’s blog which has a great archive of useful articles related to Project Management. And I noted down some other blogs which I thought I will visit when ever time permits.
Return on Investment Competition seems to be restricted only for the US residence.. Its great if they can open up the opportunities for the PMs from other countries too.
At last about the Tip of the show
I think its really interesting., Yes if there is a situation of not meeting the deadline., Yes Rule # 1 is that the PM cannot be panic., But if its me, as the rule #2, I would say, He/She should straight away admit to the Project Stakeholders that he/She screwed up the deadlines , ,rule No #3, He/She should have a review with the team to identify where they went wrong. What I mean is something like “Lessons Learnt” ..but very informal. #4 Commit on a new feasible deadline and discuss with the team to eliminate the mistakes. #5Motivate the team to achieve the deadline. #6 Bribe the team if the PM knows to make Banana Bread )
I wish you all the support from other PMs to continue with pmpodcast..
